integrated professional services in the transportation, property,
environment and natural resources sectors.
- The Scott Wilson Group was originally established in 1954 by
the merger of two partnerships: Scott and Wilson, which was
founded in 1945, and Sir Cyril Kirkpatrick & Partners founded
in 1924.
- On the 15 March 2006, Scott Wilson Group plc was admitted to
the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange.
- Scott Wilson has expanded rapidly and has a global network of
offices in some 80 locations.
- Employing nearly 6,000 members of staff with over 3,500 in the
UK
- The trading activities of the Group are managed through five
operating divisions: UK Central, UK South, Scotland & Ireland,
UK Railways and International.
- The Group’s international operations are organised into six
regional businesses: China/Hong Kong, Eastern Europe, India, South
East Asia, Southern Africa, and the Middle East.
- UK business activities generate approximately two thirds of
Group turnover, while International operations account for a
third.
- Scott Wilson is the 8th largest UK engineering consultancy by
staff numbers, 4th largest in the rail sector and 5th in
roads.
- Scott Wilson’s Corporate headquarters is London, the registered
office is Basingstoke.
- Main divisional head offices in the UK: London, Basingstoke,
Chesterfield, Glasgow, and Swindon.
- Scott Wilson has committed to the United Nations Global Compact
in 2006.
